Metallurgical Testing and Sample Evaluation

Representative testing is the basis of reagent selection and scale-up. The objective is not simply the highest recovery, but an economic balance between recovery, time, consumption and cost.

Required Information

  • Complete chemical assay and target-metal grades
  • Ore or feed type and mineralogical report, where available
  • Particle-size distribution, moisture and preparation method
  • Existing circuit, current reagents and operating problems
  • Target capacity and project economic criteria

Expected Outputs

  • Recovery results and time profile
  • Initial and residual reagent consumption
  • Recommended pH and residence-time range
  • Review of pregnant-solution recovery method
  • Recommendation for further testwork or pilot work
The sample must represent actual feed. Results from hand-picked or selectively enriched material must not be extrapolated to the entire resource or production stream.
